My motto:  Nothing is impossible, so find the possible.

I love a good challenge and to be challenged. It is no wonder why I picked cancer as my life’s purpose at the age of ten years old. It is one of the most awful diseases and is now the leading cause of death affecting people in every country of the world. I have spent the last 20 years researching, learning, selling, creating and building novel solutions that would bridge gaps in communication and understandings about cancer testing, treatments and overall care. At the core of my work has always been ethics, quality, transparency and respect for the patient as they deal with a life altering disease.

Today, we have great scientific and technological advancements at our fingertips. Over the past two decades, my colleagues and I have focused on the various ways we can leverage technology to improve the transfer of and enable new learnings from patient data for optimal care. Furthermore, we have rigorously studied and participated in many of clinical workflow initiatives from both the patient’s and physician’s unique purview. With the knowledge we have gained, we are genuinely excited to bring together a ‘Patient Immersion Application’ that enables a patient to dynamically understand and learn about the illness they are dealing with, in real-time. With a deep understanding of patient privacy, consent and authorization to data; Swellter’s platform can ensure that no unauthorized patient data is being shared outside of their provisions all while seamlessly gaining knowledge and insights throughout their care.

When I was ten, I said I would change cancer. This is my passion, my purpose and my commitment to make that happen. I will continue to find the possible when everyone else says it is impossible!

Dan Weaver - Founder and CTO

My motto: Failure is acceptable, but failure to try is not.

Hit the ground running each day. Make mistakes. Innovate. Employ new technologies and methods even if they ultimately do not achieve the desired results. Attempt a challenging approach. Just do not sit around and do nothing at all, which never achieves a breakthrough! In brief, leave it all on the field each match. I have spent my life seeking new challenges and tackling them with a combination of passion and intellect. I have failed a few times. I have succeeded more than my fair share. Never have I been criticized for complacency. I choose as my next challenge to build solutions that inform, enlighten, and engage patients about cancer testing, treatments, and overall care. My 20+ years in technology leadership has given me great visibility into innovative healthcare technologies and a philosophy that health-tech systems must focus on improving patient lives. Through many senior leadership and technology roles I have had great opportunity to lead large, diverse, globally distributed teams through difficult challenges while inspiring them to collaboratively succeed.

I embrace the adage: anything worth doing is worth doing right. I believe that delivering quality services for patients is our primary objective. I will focus first, last, and always on being able to deliver ethically consented and meaningful patient solutions in a secure, scalable, and interoperable fashion.

I am a builder. I build teams by combining complementary professionals from all backgrounds and walks of life. I build businesses to deliver products and services that make people’s lives better. I build bridges between cultures and communities. And I build interesting technological solutions to solve everyday problems for everyday people. My next quest is to bring together a team of bright and dedicated engineers and operators to design and deliver the first ever ‘Patient Immersion Application’, which enables a patient to take control of their own data; become informed about their own illness and treatment options; and to easily join with and engage supportive communities of other patients sharing the treatment journey.
